During the several months of the painting process, it was an incredible journey as I watched him appear on canvas. Layers were painted upon layers. I felt a sweetness, then wisdom, then grace. It was such a moving experience. (In writing this to you, I immediately have returned to that space.) Whenever I look at the painting now, I reenter that space, everything calms, immediately a blissful silence comes over me.
